The pandemic has forced us to brush up on our rusty skills (or learn new ones!), making our time in quarantine a series of learning experiences. Whether it’s cooking all three meals for once (and for some of us, for the very first time), trimming and dyeing our own hair without any professional help, or tie-dying every item of clothing we own, each day seems to bring something new.
That’s why we’re embracing this learning curve by introducing In Session with Bullfrog + Baum, a two-week-long edition of BBTV, as part of our Instagram Live series on @bullfrogandbaum.
From September 14—25, 2020, we’re teaming up with various experts who will showcase their knowledge and broaden our horizons. Each session will introduce new skills, perspectives, or topics that can be implemented in your daily life.
Check out the full calendar below, and make sure to tune in.
In Session with Liz Neumark (Monday, September 14 @ 11:30 AM ET)
We’re kicking things off with Liz Neumark, a chef, entrepreneur and the founder of The Sylvia Center. Hear more about The Sylvia Center’s mission to inspire young people to become healthy eaters and advocates for healthy food in their families and communities, what it takes to work for and run a non-profit organization, what has changed during the pandemic, and more.
In Session with Dr. Audrey Ross (Wednesday, September 16 @ 11:00 AM ET)
Did you know your gut health is a vital component to managing stress? Dr. Audrey Ross, Senior National Educator of Country Life Vitamins, teaches us the link between the two, how to decode certain reactions, and tips on how to maintain a healthier “gut connection.”
In Session with Cody Goldstein (Thursday, September 17 @ 5:00 PM ET)
Cody Goldstein is the founder of Brooklyn-based hospitality group Muddling Memories, and has been figuring out how to make drinking cocktails a social event again, even virtually. Get out of your at-home drink rut and join Cody as he teaches us how to use what we’ve got layin’ around to get creative and make some of the fall’s best cocktails.
In Session with Anna Gass (Friday, September 18 @ 11:00 AM ET)
Forget pumpkin spice: we’re more excited about apple season this fall. Cookbook author Anna Gass teaches us the best ways to use apples, and will whip up her delicious Apple Dumplings with Sour Cherry Jam (which is also a kid-friendly recipe to try).
In Session with Penny James (Monday, September 21 @ 11:00 AM ET)
Fall means fresh starts, and it’s time to retire your bedhead for your Zoom calls and clean up a bit. Penny James of Penny James Salon advises on at-home hair care, including what to do about coloring and cutting your own hair, the best fall hairstyles, and what you can do to maintain a healthy scalp while regular salon visits are still on hold.
In Session with Nicole Erica (Friday, September 25 @ 5:00 PM ET)
We’re excited to welcome back Nicole Erica of Wine Culture with Nicole to further hone our wine-tasting skills. This time, we’ll chat about which wines to pair with classic fall dishes, her favorites for the season, and more. Kick back, grab a glass, and take a wine 201 class with us.
