It’s Father’s Day on June 18th so we asked some of our “Dad” clients to share some of their best fatherly advice, personal traditions, and of course, their favorite dad’s-day meals! Here’s what they told us.
Joe Isidori
Chef & Owner, Black Tap
If you had to pick, what is the one important piece of advice you would give your kid(s)?
Two wrongs don’t make a right.
What is your favorite Father’s Day tradition now that you are a father?
My
Father and I always grilled Italian sausages in the backyard for
Father’s Day. I can’t wait to start the tradition with my son Roman once
he can reach the grill!
What’s your ideal Father’s Day meal?
Anything off a grill in the backyard is an ideal meal!
Troy Guard
Chef & Owner, TAG Restaurant Group
If you had to pick, what is the one important piece of advice you would give your kid(s)?
Always try… even if you don’t want to, or aren’t the best at something in the beginning…keep trying!
What is your favorite Father’s Day tradition now that you are a father?
We
cook breakfast together every year and then spend a day in the park.
The last two years, we’ve been in Aspen and were able to spend the
entire day outside. We love enjoying the weather and ending with a
barbecue at home for dinner.
What’s your favorite Father’s Day meal?
A barbecue dinner with G&G (Guard and Grace) rubbed rib eye steak, kimchi fried rice, green beans, and strawberry shortcake!
Alex McCrery
Founder, Tilit
If you had to pick, what is the one important piece of advice you would give your kid(s)
Always
listen to your Father! Just kidding as I know that won’t happen. I
would try to instill in her as my parents did for me to do everything
you can to keep your options in life open. You never know where life
will take you and having the flexibility and opportunities to change
courses is so valuable.
What is your favorite Father’s Day tradition now that you are a father?
My
first Father’s Day is fast approaching so not 100% sure! Maly loves
music so perhaps some music and dancing. I only hope she has better
skills than I do on the dance floor.
What’s your favorite Father’s Day meal?
Pizza, duh.
Gerry Rooney
Owner, Circa Brewing Co.

The most important thing in life is to be kind to others.
